Guru has changed the way we work as a team. As listed below, we had many issues trying to find a home for all of our event details, and now Guru is that space for us. I was receiving so many questions about events because no one knew the details before attending, and now, everyone can see them and know what to expect. My attendees are going into events feeling much more confident and secure in our commitment and attendance. I was expecting my team to adopt 25% of its features, but we have surpassed 90%! This has been wonderful for our workflow and how we interact with each other as well. Below, you can see the issues we used to have and how Guru has helped solve them. I would recommend this product to anyone who has the same problems as I once did. We used to have these issues: -Nowhere to house all of our event details -No updates on new information -No ease of finding details -Tons of questions from event attendees because they were not set up for success. How is Guru solving these issues? -All details are on one platform. -It is straightforward to navigate. -New information notifications are available to card subscribers. -Event attendees feel well-supported and know what to expect.
  • Information organization.
  • Able to send push notifications to team members.
  • Custom card templates.
  • User controls/access permissions.
  • Tech glitches.
  • Formatting options.
  • Company customization.
Guru has been amazing in making sure my team is well-prepared by giving them information that they have been lacking. Keeping things all in one spot has been a game-changer for my team, and there are no questions about where something is located. "It's in Guru!" has been my tagline for the last eight months (since implementation)! Guru has not been great as a content keeper of PowerPoint presentations. I am looking for a solution for this, but in the meantime, we are still using a computer file folder to store all of our presentation materials.

I use Guru to work every day, I used to give support in customer service. We have many useful internal articles that help us to run the company and projects in a better way. Guru is friendly and easy to use and it is an awesome helper. I really recommend it to use it on internal information and data.
  • Give our agents updates regarding the new policy in the company
  • Guru is a really fast platform
  • Help us drive the company better
  • You can have your own library
  • You can add your favorite articles to a different folder
  • To me Guru has been perfect. In my experience with Guru I would not change anything.
Every day at work I use Guru because we have many procedures and steps to follow. Guru is always here to help us with the articles and procedures that we need to follow to work properly. Also, Guru is awesome for internal articles that just selected teams or managers can have access and that is a plus.

We use Guru at work to centralize knowledge and improve productivity by diminishing imputs via chat.
We have different collections for different departments among the company as well as collections for processes that imply the whole team.
Everyone in the organization is invited to use Guru first when having some question and if the information needed cannot be found in Guru, we encourage them to document it when they get the answer.
  • Customer Service is TOP
  • Connect with Slack or other apps
  • Organizing info (collections, boards, etc)
  • Design of the writing interface
  • Having a card under two collections
  • Customizable verification window
It's perfect when a company grows in number of members and informations needs to be storaged so everyone has access to it and can check it when needed instead of asking directly a collegaue, which is inefficient.
It's also helpful to create a database of standardized procedures so you can make sure everyone has access to them.

We use Guru to stay informed regarding important company data such as methodologies, processes, policies, etc., all in one place. We also find the announcements feature very useful since it has Read Receipts when necessary, and there's also a really good notifications system. I only use Guru for informative purposes because of my role, but I know it can be used for many other things too.
  • Sends notifications for important announcements.
  • Asks for read receipt when it's about an announcement.
  • Allows you to have all types of information in one place.
  • Search engine is really good to find the information you need.
  • There are a lot of sections or modules that I don't understand how to use or why they're important.
  • It's hard to find some specific things manually.
  • The "Ask a Question" button should be located somewhere else or be more prominent in some way. I was getting email notifications from Guru about questions I didn't know how to ask.
Guru is a really good tool to have all the information centralized and accessible to everyone. It's also great to share important announcements and make sure that everyone actually reads them. On the other hand, I personally think the Google suite is better for creating and sharing documentation and other types of data when it's not about announcements. I think it's more familiar and comfortable to use.

We use Guru as an Internal Knowledge base to keep track of our SOPs, email templates, task structures, meeting notes, and call scripts. Guru is used by the team on a daily basis. Overall, the problem we were trying to solve was how to make our team as efficient as possible ensuring the information we were giving them was correct and current.
  • Card Verification
  • "Ask a Question" AI search
  • Card Analytics (most viewed cards and common searches)
  • Tags on cards aren't always searchable unless that phrase is written somewhere on the card
  • Loading speed for the Analytics page can sometimes take time
  • Chrome extension sometimes has copy/paste formatting issues with new lines
Guru is very well-suited as a Knowledge Base tool. Creating new cards is easy and quick, and updating existing cards can be done in seconds. However, we've found Guru to be challenging when trying to locate information. This is more likely an internal problem instead of a Guru problem, but with the tags on cards not always finding the appropriate card, it is sometimes difficult for our team members to find exactly what they are looking for.

Currently, we use Guru as a knowledge-based system. All queries from colleagues are redirected to a certain Guru Card that we use. We are also allowed to contribute our own Guru Card that we find useful for our colleagues. Usually, we get to have it reviewed by our supervisor first before submitting it.

Currently, there's no issue with using Guru as it is very easy to use, you need to make sure to provide the correct tagging per card/article so it will be maximized and relevant to the query.

Everyday, Guru is being used by all of my colleagues as this is where we get our answers to our clients.
  • Knowledge-base
  • Template Flexibility/Suggestion
  • Permissions and bases
  • Centralized Information, no need to have individual notes. Everyone helps and everyone can help!
  • Too much buttons and options
  • I believe more suggestive templates and decision tree can help
  • More sensitive Duplicate Detection
1. When my colleagues ask for questions, I can just give them a Guru Card link for them to review.
2. No need for repetitive answering queries, Guru can help you with it!
3. It can also be useful for outside clients to view but this is only an idea as all our information are currently for internal use only.
4. It is only hard to migrate formatted files in it as I expect it to be more pdf-friendly convert, mainly templates.
5. It's less suited for putting sensitive information in it as there could still be breach of security on accesses of employees.

I use guru as our internal google search. Any questions we may need to look up, there is always the answer. We can find different contacts, sample applications to refer to, general answers to questions about the business, etc. I always check Guru before asking anyone for the answer if needed.
  • Easy of seach
  • Highlights
  • Filters
  • More specific filters
  • More options to find recent searches
Guru is perfect for our company. There has been many instances before Guru where we would have to ask different people for the answer. It was time consuming and the answer wasn't always answered or even correct. I feel like with Guru, I feel confident I have the correct information and in an efficient manner.

My organization uses Guru for day to day tasks. I go to Guru for information and best practices.
  • Guru has a great search function.
  • The My Library tab is resourceful, convenient and helpful.
  • There are several departments in my company so having the ability to have the org chart makes things a lot easier for us.
  • I don't fully understand the tasks tab
  • I don't fully understand the annoucements tab
  • I don't fully understand the mentions tab
I have been on the phone with clients who have asked questions and I immediately went to Guru for answers.

Guru allows our business to keep internal documents up to date and help us onboard new employees in an organized way. It’s easy to create new folders and group similar articles within Guru. We can run operationally efficient by using Guru as a place for our standard operation procedures and processes.
  • Documentation
  • Organization
  • Slack integration
  • Better mobile app experience
  • Better reminders for expiring articles
  • Improved speed
Guru is great for small teams that need a place to organize their internal documentation on processes and standardized operating procedures. It’s a simple tool that does this job very well and can scale into large organizations as well.

We use Guru as our work Wikipedia; Guru has become our go-to resource for organizing and documenting our company's knowledge. Its user-friendly platform has significantly streamlined the process of capturing and expanding our collective knowledge base.
  • organizing our knowledge base by departments more easily
  • able to have reminders for certain cards - enabling us to update them periodically
  • having a place to easily access knowledge whenever we need it
  • maybe...adding more fun or cute ways to spice up things such as pastel colour schemes
We are constantly improving in terms of hiring new colleagues, so writing down the process was very important to us. This way, anyone would have access to the knowledge that is required to understand the process.

We use Guru for EVERYTHING. Any question or concern anyone has, we look in Guru first. From the newest updates in our Weekly Huddles to knowing what exercises are in a certain pathway. Also, including looking up our hours as well as company policies. The addition to the AI search engine is fantastic. Before Guru was a little tough to search for the exact card you were looking for, unless you used the exact wording, the AI search engine fixed that! Love it.
  • Searching questions with AI.
  • Allowing to create your own folders within Guru.
  • Being able to create cards and keep them private.
  • You have to be incredibly specific, i.e. correct wording, when using search engine.
  • If there are too many cards the favorites don't tend to work too well since you cannot search through favorites.
Guru is a fantastic way to organize ALL of your company's policies as well as day-to-day tasks, such as a weekly card with to-do's located on it. Also, you can even create cards with videos and/or demonstrations such as how to do particular exercises as well as attach similar cards that other people find helpful.

We use Guru as our Knowledge Base to support our agents in order to provide resolution and steps resolving our customer's concern. The Business problems that we have focuses on car rental and the company policies. I use Guru to check all executive updates and process for our account as my position is Team leader.
  • We use Guru as our main knowledge base.
  • Process updates.
  • Communicating to other vendors for process improvement.
  • user friendly
  • more reporting tools
  • accurate results
Guru is one of the best knowledge base tools i've known. We are using Guru for every call or e-mail concern, we are using the Guru to find what resolution or article we need to use to resolve customer's concern. Guru is also best when a new article is being released, Guru will give an update or notification to us.

We use Guru to streamline operations and make information handy for our various teams. Prior to Guru, a lot of information and processes were held in someone's head. We call Guru our operating system as it houses all of our IP and the way we do business, it is essentially our playbook.
  • Collaborate on cards
  • Share information with the team, especially FAQs
  • Integrate Guru into Chrome so you can easily lookup what you need.
  • It can be hard to get full buy in from your team to create cards
Guru is a great way to build a knowledge base to share with your team, provided that your team is willing to look there and help build that knowledge base. On our team, those who have adopted Guru are serious advocates for how easy it is to use and are eager to add more. However, some of our team is reluctant to add cards to Guru and keep using Google Drive instead. Guru gives a lot of ways to integrate and link the two, but changing habits is the hardest part.

In order to enable our support teams, we use Guru to document processes across Operations org and in my role, I have to ensure Guru cards are set up properly ahead of a launch.
  • Easy search of keywords on relevant cards
  • Good UI to integrate with our Zendesk system
  • Better integration with other repository systems like Confluence
- For support based team, it is a great tool to manage SOPs
- But there is accessibility and ease of use from cross-functional point of view. For example, we have to always copy/paste or create PDF to share to our partners so we can collaborate. Maybe integration with Confluence can fix this to enable different point of perspective/collaboration

We have many applications and guidelines we have to follow. This allows a lot of information to be searched for the most effective and efficient way possible. Without Guru, it would be much more difficult to make sure the information we were providing to our customers was complete and correct.
  • Sort all data
  • You can cross reference information
  • You can customize your view to cater to what you need
  • Keywords can sometimes be conveluded
  • Multiple cards get pulled that don't make sense
We can attach documents that pertain to that specific document easily. Tables are easily visible.

Guru has been the informational guide for our entire company. It acts as an encyclopedia for all information needed to be successful at our company. I use Guru almost every day to explore guides and answer questions I may have about the many different processes we have. Guru has been very helpful and I highly recommend.
  • Application Guides for the many different applications we send to our merchants.
  • Contact information for the many different contacts we have.
  • Marketing Material for the many different products we use.
  • Guru's price could be more affordable as the business grows.
  • Guru could have more integration options for various platforms.
  • Guru could have a mobile app, if it doesn't already.
Guru is great for training purposes. Guru alleviates the amount of questions directed toward supervisors/management and saves time. Management often will direct team members to use Guru when in fact the answer is not easily found in Guru. Management may use Guru as a crutch to save them time, but they need to enter all answers to all questions into Guru to truly maximize its potential.

In my role, I need to be able to know nearly everything in order to support both internal stakeholders and external customers. Before Guru, finding information was extremely time-consuming, and you never knew if what you found was actually up-to-date since our company is a constantly evolving start-up. Thanks to Guru, my team has been able to create a fast and reliable knowledge base, and others within the org are jumping in as well. Guru has revolutionized how we create and access knowledge, increasing our efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration by leaps and bounds.
  • Guru is easy to use and user-friendly.
  • Guru makes finding information quick and easy.
  • Guru's AI features keep getting better!
  • Guru's Chrome and Slack integrations make it easy to access and create knowledge without leaving your workflow.
  • I wish the Starter plan had a little more functionality, like the ability to use Zapier and some limited analytics.
  • The Chrome extension periodically has glitches.
Our company uses Guru for internal-facing knowledge. It's very helpful to use when answering emails, having a phone conversation, or meeting over Zoom because you can access information so quickly, that the other person may not even be able to tell you didn't know it off the top of your head. Guru is great for bringing institutional knowledge out of people's heads so that it's available to access and not locked into a silo. This reduces the need for asking questions, which interrupts others' work and then wastes time waiting for an answer. Guru is very helpful when onboarding a new team member, because it makes information easy to find and gives them a central place to find answers to their questions or remind them of processes and procedures.

Our company uses Guru for standard operating procedures, defining technical terminology, and general how-tos for company processes. The whole company uses Guru, although my department makes up ~1/4 of the cards in our company Guru. My department regularly updates our standard operating procedures and adds new ones as new products/projects are added.
  • Linking to other cards.
  • Browsing cards.
  • The card manager is so helpful for keeping things up to date.
  • Regular search.
  • AI answers to questions.
  • Nothing else comes to mind
I have recommended Guru to friends who work in similar or very different industries. It's a great tool for managing institutional knowledge. Especially for smaller companies just starting to grow. A friend of mine works for an arts organization, where all the senior employees keep information about processes in their heads instead of on paper. It makes it very difficult for new team members to get onboarded in a consistent way. Guru is great at DrugBank for sharing knowledge across departments. We built an encyclopedia of technical terms for our sales team to refer to during calls. This way they can get a quick definition mid-call without losing track of the conversation or reading 10 pages of Wikipedia to find a 1 sentence answer. The AI generated answers are my least favorite feature. Because it can't distinguish between external and internal data, it has provided multiple answers that would be inappropriate for teams that are customer facing to provide to our users. I have recommended that those departments avoid that feature.

Guru has been a part of our routine from the initial week of my training and I remember using it for every tiny and even for trickiest things I faced while working. I can't imagine working in my role without Guru as it a constant guiding light, specially a profession like mines where the norms do change and we need to follow the regulations as regulated bank. It not only extremely helpful but I also love the layout and overall effectiveness in my job role. I remember using it for the first time was very overwhelming and times has flied since then, and now there is no looking back from this amazing tool. I do feel I have always have a mentor by side to guide me, having Guru. A big thank you to the makers, you guys have done a really amazing job. It true to its name. ( In India Guru means a Teacher and now I know why). Thank you
  • Searching for targeted guru cards.
  • easy and understandable language really worked for me.
  • I can seacrh any and every thing related to my work
  • Could have a glossary explanation of terms.
  • layout seems amazing to me.
  • could have more signposting options for customer.
I can't explain it importance in my work routine, every now and then I use it. So, I would totally recommend it to everyone who needs a guiding light for themselves. Guru is effective and easy to use for every one and its layout makes it even more efficient and time saving and keeps you away from the hassle wasting time around.

Myself and the team utilize Guru to create documentation of solutions, processes, and notes.

The issues with our previous Wiki and MS Office document solution were:
  • Multiple sources and location of data
  • Insufficient tracking of information owner
  • Old and/or not up to date information

Guru was able to centralize the data with clarity on owner and as a bonus, we are able to set the review date, which shows up in the interface and can also be configured to notify in Microsoft Teams.
  • Very simple data entry
  • Easy searching for data
  • Ability to set date reminders for card (Guru calls posts cards) review
  • Cards downloaded as a PDF are Guru branded
  • No ability to company cards when downloaded as PDF's
  • Copy/Paste of web browser card information has occasionally caused issues with graphics in the past using Google Chrome, MS Edge, Vivaldi, and Firefox
Good for:
  • Trackable and searchable data sources
  • Quickly and easily adding information for future use
  • Keeping information up to date
  • Organizing information

Not good for:
  • Highly formatted information
  • Data needing search with non-standard characters

We currently use Guru for clarifying many operational points within our company. Best practices, potential upsell opportunity identification recommendations, etc. Our internal knowledge base lives within Guru and our management constantly updates our cards and uses the tracking system to ensure that all users are up to par with the same comprehension of what our baseline is.
  • Guru provides excellent tracking systems to ensure that management can rest easy knowing their teams are up to par.
  • Guru acts as a solidified and peer reviewed knowledge base.
  • Guru ensures that all users are up to the same baseline in terms of comprehension in best practices.
  • Guru could potentially increase their capability with creating a recommended review session once in a while and set by management.
I believe it's best suited for desk jobs in terms of access to the web application. Tech is also a primary industry that can utilize Guru to its full potential.
